Another significant game tonight for the Sabres who are looking to start a little bit of a run here against the NJD’s. They have had trouble putting together an extended win streak and hope that tonight, after coming off a strong win against Alexander the Softie and his Caps, will end this drought of back-to-back wins. Brad Boyes and Drew Stafford finally ignited the fire under their bellies and came out flying Monday night in Buffalo, NY with two gorgeous passing plays by the both of them. It is clear that if the Sabres want to start winning games they need that support from the second and third lines. Pominville and Vanek can’t carry the team all year long. God forbid one of them go down with an injury. Imagine that Christmas apple pie you just had without any apples, the pie would suck. Much like the Sabres season if Vanek was sidelined. In other news, Gerbe has passed his baseline concussion test and will be ready to play within these next couple games. However, the much anticipated return of Tyler Myers to the Sabres defense squad will have to wait a few more games than expected. Oh, and Miller, tighten your crease up boy, we got some games to win.
